Sgt Omri Levy, 19, was murdered in Beersheba terrorist attack

The attack by a Bedouin-Israeli on the Beersheba bus station on October 18, 2015 is captured on a surveillance camera. He did not have a criminal record.

Mr Al-Okabi's mother is thought to be from Gaza, and to have arrived in Israel under the family reunification law.

The incident took place in the Israeli city of Beersheba (Bi'r as-Sab) at a bus station on Sunday evening, Press TV reported. They said the fact that he had managed to enter the bus station with a pistol was cause for concern. He was shot and killed during the attack.

In the confusion during the attack, an Eritrean migrant worker, who was mistook for a second terrorist, was shot in the head by a security officer. He was then assaulted by a mob, and died of his injuries in hospital soon afterwards. Police said an additional 20 people were injured.

Israeli media charged that the man, named as Haftom Zarhum, 29, was shot exclusively due to the color of his skin. The police statement also called on citizens to "act with restraint and extra caution and to allow the police to perform their job". The cabinet also approved a bill making it easier for police to stop and frisk anyone who they believe may be suspicious. The terrorist, identified as Muhanad Alukabi, 21, was an Israeli Arab from the Bedouin town of Hura.

The death toll from the attack has now risen to three, including a 19-year-old Israeli soldier, the Eritrean immigrant and the attacker.
