Hit and run driver posts bloody/dead photo of victim on social media

The newspaper reports that the driver, 19-year-old Keenan Mikel Slaughter of Jacksonville, is not now facing charges. "There was also a photo of Williams" body covered in blood.

A Florida driver reportedly tweeted about being drunk on codeine before he struck and killed a 16-year-old boy and then posted a photo of his corpse on social media.

Police say the driver cooperated with police and has not been charged with a crime. "There are a lot of issues that get folded up into this one act".

Goldhagen said posting the shocking tweets suggests nothing more than the not-uncommon impulsive acts of a teenage boy.

Coles said she sent out her son for a loaf of bread, but as he was attempting to cross a street without using the crosswalk, Slaughter's auto hit him.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said there was no indication of alcohol even though he was not tested. "Who does that? You'd have to be a few type of monster", Connie Coles said to FCN News.

Investigators say that the words are actually song lyrics - from rapper BallOut's song Kill Me - and do not reference real-life events.

Officers admit the suspect was not tested for drink or drugs at the scene, as there was no sign of impairment and he was cooperating with officers.

Connie Coles told First Coast News: "I'm angry because detectives told me that there's no alcohol or drugs involved".

"We won't ever see [my son] again after we lay him to rest". However, the quick trip to the store took a turn for the worse when he began walking back home. I don't want to think about having to pack up his clothes.
