Toronto Blue Jays fan arrested for splattering beer on baby

Toronto led the series 3-1 before the Royals clawed back to win the next three games and advance to the World Series, which the Royals ultimately won over St. Louis. The Blue Jays trailed the series 2-0, looked dead and done only to come roaring back to life, resurrecting fans who may have thought it was all over when the team departed for Texas for Games 3 and 4. We all want to get the "Kansas City Wants It More" shirts from the game last night.

Scott Moore, president of Sportsnet and National Hockey League Properties for Rogers, tweeted that more than nine million Canadians watched Wednesday night's thrilling nail-biter that ended with a 6-3 Jays victory and elimination for the Rangers. Gibbons has experience with the Royals core group, including position players Alex Gordon, Eric Hosmer, Jarrod Dyson, Alcides Escobar, Mike Moustakas and Salvador Perez, and pitchers Greg Holland, Luke Hochevar and Danny Duffy. "But a team win, that's what I was looking for". Kansas City, which finished the 2015 regular season with the best record in the American League, will have home field this time around.

The game "threatens to be his ultimate long-term legacy as a player in the eyes of so many fans", wrote Dallas Morning News staff writer Evan Grant. Then the Royals overcame a 2-1 series deficit to beat the wild-card Astros in the best-of-five ALDS. Davis has become a dominant closer in his own right.... He also spent a year and a half with current Royals manager Ned Yost, who got that job halfway through the 2010 season.

But this was Game 5 of the ALDS, victor take all. The feud boiled over in the eighth inning, when Toronto reliever Aaron Sanchez was ejected for hitting Kansas City's Alcides Escobar with a pitch. Toronto was upset after Volquez plunked Donaldson and later threw high and inside to the MVP contender.

According to the Canadian Press, one fan has been arrested after throwing beer and hitting a baby. Volquez later accused Donaldson of overreacting, calling him "a little baby".

- Pitching In. Cueto came through in the Division Series when it mattered most, but the rest of the Royals' rotation was merely average against the Astros, as was the bullpen outside of Davis.

- Opposites Attract. While the Blue Jays often pummel their opponents with the long ball, the Royals still rely on speed, defense and making contact at the plate. They allowed the Royals to score first in three of the four games and needed late-inning comebacks in two of their victories.
