Adidas, National Basketball Association Unveils Christmas Day Uniforms

As you can see, the biggest detail comes in the socks, which feature a red snowflake and traditional Christmas colors throughout.

The National Basketball Association stayed away from the it has used in years past (thank god) and used the same font for every team, giving them a nice uniform look.

For years, adidas has swung and missed on its Christmas uniforms (remember the sleeves!), but this year, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. This new release has more in common with the Grinch's motivations than Saint Nick's, but that doesn't mean we should ignore the aesthetics.

The jerseys are certainly different than the usual purple and gold fans adore, but they fit in with the theme the National Basketball Association and Adidas have decided for the league to wear on the holiday.

How does the white and purple look to you?

Team names are written across the front of the jerseys in a sort of creamy cursive.

Pics above, and per the National Basketball Association, the "Season's Greetings Collection" will include a special-edition Swingman jersey, women's replica jersey, on-court shooting shirt, T-shirt, snapback and knit beanie.

Here's hoping the normal uniforms grow on us as the regular season progresses, and looking forward to the awesome Christmas gift we know we're getting this holiday season.
