Poland FM: Syrian refugees should form an army to liberate their country

Both Greece and Serbia are on the so-called Balkan migrant route used by more than 800,000 people desperately fleeing war and misery this year.

Another passport found at one of the sites of the Paris attacks, and initially linked to the suicide squads, highlighted the dangers of leaping to conclusions in the race to identify the attackers.

Waszczykowski said his plan would side step the situation where "we send our soldiers to fight in Syria while hundreds of thousands of Syrians drink their coffee in (Berlin's) Unter den Linden" boulevard or in other European cities.

Downing Street refused to specify how many refugees were arriving but said they had undergone "rigorous" security checks before boarding the plane.

Robert Fico, the prime minister of Slovakia, echoed Szymanski's remarks. "And I would be open to that if it can do it in a way that allows us to ensure that among them are not infiltrated, people who are part of a terrorist organization".

Poland's new government will be sworn in today. Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania voted against the quota system, but were overruled by their fellow member states.

The head of the European Commission on Sunday against such thinking.

"We should not mix the different categories of people coming to Europe", Jean-Claude Juncker told reporters.

"The reaction to the wave of refugees that we're seeing should be one of compassion and empathy". They claim that's what caused the Paris attacks, meaning the safest option for Europe is to close its borders entirely.

Of course, introduction of even partial border controls would undermine Europe's Schengen accord, which allows for border-free travel between 26 signatory countries.

When the Paris attacks happened, Bavarian finance minister, Minister Markus Soeder, said, "The days of uncontrolled immigration and illegal entry can't continue just like that". French President Francois Hollande was among more than 80,000 people there to watch France play Germany in a friendly football match at the stadium.

But others who were still on the road and battling to enter the European Union are undeterred, saying any animosity that they might face from the Europeans could not be worse than the bomb shells that are falling daily at home.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, of the estimated 4.2 million Syrians living in neighboring countries, more than half are women. Slovenia began building its own barrier with Croatia last week.

Mr. Obama scolded Americans about wanting to vet refugees.

The concerns for the two governors stem from a still-vague that the passport of a Syrian refugee who passed through Greece was found at the scene of one of the suicide bombing attacks.

"After full consideration of this weekend's attacks of terror on innocent citizens in Paris, I will oppose any attempt to relocate Syrian refugees to Alabama through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program".

President Obama criticized that suggestion on Monday.

"That's shameful", he said at the G20 summit in Turkey.
