Three Huskers questioned in alleged sexual assault

Police in Lincoln are investigating the report of an alleged sexual assault that took place on Sunday at the home of Husker quarterback Tommy Armstrong. So far, no arrests have been made, and there haven't been any suspects identified stemming from the rape allegations.

A 20-year-old woman went to a Lincoln hospital Sunday afternoon, where she told doctors she was "subjected to forced sexual intercourse at 5411 N 11th St", reports the Journal Star.

The victim knows the suspect, and the suspect has been contacted, according to Officer Kathleen Flood, with LPD.

Given the status of Nebraska as a historic powerhouse program, as well as the two players involved, this story will likely draw a significant amount of attention nationally. It's reported to have happened between 2:15 AM and 9:30 AM on Sunday. "After talking to us, (the police) said you guys should be fine", Armstrong said.

Cornhuskers wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp is Armstrong's roommate and was also interviewed by police, as was tight end Trey Foster, according to what Armstrong told the World-Herald. "From what we're hearing, everything was consensual". We are now cooperating with law enforcement officials and University Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance.
