ISIS Magazine Explains How ISIS Blew Up Russian Plane, Killed 224 Passengers

Islamic State (Isis) may have targeted a British plane, but changed their mind at the last minute and blew up a Russian plane on 31 October, to seek revenge for Moscow's air strikes in Syria.

Islamic State's official magazine prints photo of what it says was the bomb that brought down the Russian airliner over Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

An ISIS affiliate claimed responsibility for downing the plane shortly after the crash, but its central leadership remained mostly silent and didn't provide details on how the group allegedly carried out the attack. Russian Federation has also put a $50-million bounty out for anyone that can help find those responsible.CCTV America's Adel El Mahrouky reports from Cairo.

The Egyptians heading the aviation investigation have resisted calling the disaster a terrorist attack, something that would deeply embarrass President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, the former head of the armed forces, which has spent years trying to stamp out Egypt's Islamist insurgency.

The photo showed a yellow can of Schweppes Gold, a flavored soda distributed in Egypt, and what appeared to be a detonator against a blue background. But Egyptian Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal responded by saying that "so far, there is no criminal evidence" to support that claim.

It also published a picture of what it said were passports belonging to people who died in the plane crash.

Russian Federation began its airstrikes against positions of Daesh and other militant groups in Syria on September 30, after it received an official request from the Syrian government.

ISIS is, however, believed to have influence at the Sharm el-Sheikh airport, and this might've included a few way of letting an attacker bypass security. "This will remain with us forever", Putin said in a statement.

Earlier in November, Moscow suspended commercial flights to Egypt, allowing only return flights without luggage in order to get Russian citizens back home.

"Maybe today this grand coalition with Russian Federation is possible because it has evolved", he said, referring to President Francois Hollande's call to create a large coalition against the group.

If the group had indeed placed a bomb on board the plane, in the heavily secured resort, it would cast doubts on aviation security in Egypt and perhaps other countries.

Egypt on Tuesday said it was "enhancing" airport security, including security sweeps of airplanes and checks on flight crews.
