Oakland Raiders player under investigation after Steelers game

There are still question marks surrounding Williams as he hopes to carry the weight of Pittsburgh's running game for the rest of the season, but nothing we saw Sunday should cause Pittsburgh to fret too much.

"You can waste a lot of time focusing on the guys who aren't available to you", Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said.

But Roethlisberger does have a history of quick turnarounds from injury.

The Raiders were pressuring Big Ben all day and finally got the better of Marcus Gilbert the right tackle of the Pittsburgh Steelers who gave up the hit that led to the injury.

"The outcome, yeah I'd like to have it back", Carr said of his throw.

After showing signs of improvement in recent weeks and being stout against the run most of the season, the Raiders had no answers against the Steelers when they set a franchise worst for yards allowed in a game. DeAngelo Williams had a combined 225 yards and two touchdowns. He caught a two-point conversion pass from Ben Roethlisberger after his first touchdown run.

The Raiders do have an interception in seven straight games, the team's longest streak since 2000-01. "From a playing standpoint, much like a couple weeks ago (when Roethlisberger's knee was injured), we're preparing to play with Landry". The results are in and Hudson has suffered a sprained ankle according to head coach Jack Del Rio.

"He probably does a few things in the passing game better than Matt, Matt probably does a few things better in the run game, but it's not about comparing him to Matt", Tomlin said.

Brown sits at No. 2 in the league in receiving yards with 1,002 and receptions with 69.

But Steelers backup quarterback Landry Jones converted a short third-and-2 pass that Brown turned into a 57-yard gain that set up the winning field goal in the closing seconds.

The Redskins managed just 15 total yards in the first quarter and fell to 3-5. Ben Roethlisberger completed 24 of 44 passes for 334 yards and two touchdowns against one interception.

Ross Cockrell picked off Carr in the end zone on Oakland's ensuing possession, but Carr collected himself to tie the game with a pretty strike to Crabtree to pull Oakland even. Carr now has 19 touchdowns and just four picks on the year, though he wasn't exactly in the mood to reflect after letting it slip away.

As it happened on Sunday in the loss against the Steelers, Latavius Murray was hit hard by former Oakland Raiders, safety Mike Mitchell.

Taking Hudson's place for the final quarter of Sunday's game was Tony Bergstrom. On the ground, DeAngelo Williams had 170 yards and two touchdowns in 27 attempts.

Coverage linebacker Neiron Ball (knee) will sit out a second consecutive game, while the status of cornerback T.J. Carrie (hip, shoulder) is questionable.

He also had a 33-yard catch in the first quarter during the Steelers' first drive of the game, but Pittsburgh was eventually forced to punt. Asante had four tackles and a pass defensed.

The Cowboys have lost every game without quarterback Tony Romo, who will miss at least one more with a broken left collarbone.
