Son of Timothy Madden Arrested

The son of Timmy Madden, the man arrested for the rape and murder of 7-year-old Gabbi Doolin, was arrested himself in Tennessee Monday night.

The girl's mother broke down in tears as the charges were read against the man suspected in the brutal killing, according to WZTV.

According to an arrest warrant, Madden sent private messages to the Scottsville Police Department Facebook page from Saturday to Monday.

Bradley Madden, 20, is in the Simpson County Detention Center charged with 16 counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and 16 counts of intimidating a participant in the legal process.

Scottsville Police Chief Jeff Pearson picked Madden up Tuesday morning at the Macon County Jail and could not be immediately reached for comment Tuesday morning. He is being held on $1 million full cash bond.

Gabriella, who was called Gabbi, disappeared during a youth football game on November 14 at Scottsville, a town of 5,000 near the Tennessee state line.

On Tuesday, Scottsville Assistant Police Chief Darren Tabor said that he is accused of threatening Scottsville police. A preliminary hearing was set for December 2. An attorney helped him enter a not guilty plea during the court appearance.

As Madden was led into the courtroom Monday afternoon with his arms and legs shackled, Gabby's mother, Amy Doolin, held her hand over her mouth and sobbed uncontrollably as Madden was seated at the defense table.

Manual strangulation and drowning were listed as the cause of death, and an autopsy indicated Gabbi was raped and sodomized, according to police records.

In a jailhouse interview with CNN affiliate WDRB, Madden said the charges were "bogus". I know it's affected your family also. His wife, Jodi Madden, said her husband was identified as a suspect within hours but "he's not that kind of person".

Kentucky State Police announced at a news conference that he had been charged with murder, kidnapping, first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy.
