Former Subway Spokesperson, Jared Fogle, Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for

Bradford explained that Fogle suffered from hypersexuality and "mild pedophilia", developed after his weight loss in place of a compulsive eating disorder. "Bradford made the remarks while testifying in Fogle's sentencing hearing in ". Another part of the former Subway spokesman's plea deal was for him to pay $100,000 in restitution to each of his 14 victims of his crimes of child pornography and crossing state lines in order to pay for sex with minors.

Fogle lost more than 200 pounds on his Subway diet 15 years ago.

DeBrota that while some speculated that Fogle's wealth and celebrity would help him get a shorter sentence, the judge rejected that suggestion, as well as arguments by Fogle's attorneys that his notoriety and wealth would place him under added stress in prison.

Fogle struck a deal with prosecutors in August, after a July raid on his Indianapolis home found him in possession of child pornography.

Earlier this year, Russell Taylor, the former director of the Jared Foundation started by Fogle, was arrested in a child pornography case.

Fogle told the court he understood the terms of his plea agreement and said he was pleading guilty of his own free will. During a tearful statement, Fogle called his own conduct "horrible" and said he went from being a person with good values to one who became deceptive and self-centered.

Hard to swallow... Jared Fogle who lost 110 kilograms after eating Subway sandwiches for one year.

Fogle's diagnosis was "mild pedophilia" and hypersexuality that would require counseling and antidepressants.

And that's over 13 years of Fogle's money problems just getting worse.

Fogle could be serving time at the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood.

"For most of my adult life, I've been in the spotlight, trying to be a role model", a teary Fogle told the courtroom.

"Fogle began viewing pornography in school and had a pretty extensive collection of porn in college", Bradford said. That later led to a raid at Fogle's home in Zionsville.

Fogle spent at least $12,000 a year or more on prostitutes, and had a number of extramarital affairs, prosecutors said.

In one exchange, Fogle offered to pay $300 for a 15-year-old who could prove her age, prosecutors said: "It's what I crave", he wrote.

"Federal judges do not sentence based on emotion or public sentiment", Pratt said, via the Indianapolis Star.

According to court documents obtained by TheWrap, Fogle received multiple images of minors engaged in sex acts from Taylor and knew that those depicted were under 18.
