Rock star Scott Weiland found dead on tour bus, reports say

Scott Weiland, once the lead singer of rock bands Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver has reportedly died according to reports. He was on tour with his project Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts, who were set to perform at the Medina Ballroom tonight.

TMZ reports a "source connected to the band" said Weiland was found Thursday night on the bus around 9pm. The show was cancelled.

"Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died", Navarro . "So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight", Dave tweeted.

Best known for his work with STP, Weiland and recorded such hits as "Interstate Love Song", "Plush", and "Creep". He battled years of substance abuse.
