Facebook adds 'Live Photos' feature to platform

According to The Next Web, the iOS owners will be able to upload and see those in Facebook's mobile app. It will become available to users through a software update, which hit this morning, and you can now upload and view Live Photos from within Facebook's iOS app. The uploading of live photos is the same except for the one extra step, when you upload the photo from your camera roll, a "LIVE" box will appear on the bottom right of your screen, tap that for the photo to upload as a Live Photo, said Tech Crunch.

This is the newly habit of Facebook to enable the pre released version so that users will use and provide their feedback that is based on their experience by using that particular feature. It is capable of uploading 1.5 seconds of video and audio too, if you hold down the shutter button. Again, this is nothing new; and should serve to provide some familiarity. Once the viewer stops pressing the icon, the photo goes back to being static.

It comes as a huge boost for Apple's Live Photos tool, which may have otherwise gone ignored as a mere gimmick tacked on to another new iPhone.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) announced on Tuesday that it will bring Live Photos, a feature built bu Apple Inc. Rest assured, the Apple-exclusive feature is worth your time and, if nothing else, will make your images stand out from the crowd on Facebook. So if you are excited about this feature but still can't use it, just sit tight and your update should be coming soon. The problem with live photos was that there were several devices which were able to capture these photos, but very few platforms where they could actually have been shared.
