Lawsuit Claims Apple Used iOS 9 to Ruin iPhone 4s Performance

The biggest news here is perhaps the switch from LCD to OLED screens - a move that Apple has avoided in the past due to longevity and production costs.

If you happen to live in New York City, CNET says some of the artists that are featured in Apple's in-store and online galleries will make appearances to discuss their work.

"Apple explicitly represented to the public that iOS 9 is compatible with and supports the iPhone 4S", the complaint reads. Members of the suit insist that both first- and third-party applications are hindered with the update (causing freezing and crashing), as well as general device performance and touch responsiveness.

More clarity is being added to the iPhone 6C thanks to a new report making the rounds this week. Overall, the device performance has become sluggish.

Foxconn Electronics' iPhone manufacturing plant in Zhengzhou, China has been indicated as one of the plants which are likely to shift their Lunar New Year holiday schedule.

It also claims Apple uses security measures to block users from downgrading their devices to older operating systems. When older smartphones slow down and owners have no choice but to buy a new handset. Now we're seeing news that the company is being hit with another lawsuit. As early as now, however, reports continue to build on specs and features that users can expect from the next iPhone handset.

According to Chinese tech blog MyDrivers, the iPhone 6c will feature a 4-inch display and will have exactly the same resolution and size as iPhone 5s.

But this lawsuit argues that the company has a responsibility to protect its consumers, particularly those who don't necessarily keep up with the seemingly endless changes in technology. Plaintiffs claimed that the iOS 4 update turned their older versions, like the iPhone 3G, into "iBricks". The case was thrown out a year later, though the topic of planned obsolescence continues to crop up with almost every significant Apple release. The judge in the case said iOS 4 was not a "good or service", and dismissed the claims of deceptive business practices and false advertising.
