Donald Trump defends his use of 'schlonged' in Hillary Clinton insult

Mr Donald Trump, the Republican front runner for the presidential nomination, has fought off fresh accusations of sexism after he coined a vulgar new term of abuse while attacking his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

During Saturday's Democratic debate, Clinton said Trump had become Daesh's "best recruiter" and said, "They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical militants". "She lost, I mean she lost", he said, apparently turning the noun "schlong" - a penis - into a verb meaning "to beat".

"I think he has to answer for what he says...it's not the first time he's demonstrated a penchant for sexism".

The Huffington Post took a swipe at Trump's plan for a "full shutdown" of Muslim immigration, declaring the plan "fascist".

On Wednesday, Trump called the encounter "pathetic" , telling Clinton, "Be careful Hillary as you play the war on women or women being degraded card".

The latest exchange between the two leading presidential candidates began on Monday night, when Trump used the phrase "schlonged" at a campaign rally to describe Clinton's 2008 primary loss to then-Sen.

Trump understands that his followers love him no matter how outrageous his statements may be.

Clinton's favorability rating holds steady in the new poll compared to earlier in the fall, with 47% of adults viewing her favorably and 51% unfavorably.

"She was favoured to win, and she got schlonged. And he has to keep sort of upping the stakes and going even further", Clinton added.

That's right, former NPR host Neal Conan actually spoke out today about his use of the word "schlonged" and whether its origins are vulgar and good God we've hit rock bottom. Heaven knows that Clinton has a number of other positions on the issues of the day that Trump could have attacked yet he went after her bathroom habits. "It's disgusting. I don't want to talk about it. It's too disgusting".

At an Iowa rally this week a young audience member asked Hillary Clinton what she was going to do about "bullies".

Fifty percent of registered United States voters said in a Quinnipiac poll released Tuesday that they would be "embarrassed" to have Trump as president, compared to 23 percent who said they would be proud. The main target is President Obama but he is not running for president so the ire goes to Clinton. Perhaps it may not come out until after the general election, but who knows?
