Ben Schwartz Drops a few 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Spoilers

Hey Star Wars fans, Ben Schwartz is about to blow your mind.

The former Parks and Recreation actor, who co-stars in  (in theaters now), remained good friends with  director J.J. Abrams after working with him on the short-lived 2010 spy seriesUndercovers. So naturally, when Schwartz dropped by the Yahoo office, we had to ask: Could he give us any juicy Star Wars spoilers? Sure enough, the actor delivered: You be the judge as to whether you should actually expect to see these after watching the video above.

Schwartz exclusively revealed to Yahoo Movies that Chewbacca has a major role in the new Star Wars flick. Not only does the Wookiee co-pilot the Millennium Falcon, but at one point, he turns into Superman and fights Batman. That’s not all! It turns out that Batman has a secret identity no one could have guessed: a certain bald, albino teenager from mid-’90s cinema. Also, since Superman is played by Chewbacca, the quintessential American hero now speaks with Peter Mayhew’s “really sweet English accent.“

It’s possible that Schwartz is pulling our leg. But he wouldn’t lie about something as serious as Star Wars, would he?

In other related news, it was announced via the official december -18-first-look">Star Wars website that books inspired by "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released on December. 18, the same day that the movie will hit the silver screen. (Thats how I prefer to see it, anyway.) The only question now is how worthy of our sweaty-palmed excitement the new film will end up being.

Since the film will probably be good and the company has two sequels as well as three stand-alone Star Wars movies planned, this should just be the start of a merchandising cash-in the likes of which the galaxy has never seen.

First up is the awkwardly-named Nixon Stormtrooper The 51-30 Watch, which is made from waterproof stainless steel and comes with a rotating bezel.

The latest unveilings have been a batch of images showing the lead protagonists and baddies in the flick - Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie).

In other news, those rumors alleging Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, may die in "The Force Awakens" have reared its head once more.

"It was really important for a sense of authenticity that the set be built, the exterior, interior, that we go to real locations that were actually in the sun", the director said.

If we know Andersen was working with the trio, perhaps he'll be aboard the ship as well.
