Google Nexus 6P Canada Shipping And Release Date Get Into Trouble

Nexus 6P is gradually being launched in many markets including Canada and there are already issues appearing in various regions. If we take Canada for instance, we will see that there are some supply constraints mostly involving stock issues, the same that have appeared throughout the years, meaning that Google doesn’t learn from its mistakes.

About a month ago we witnessed the launch of two fantastic devices, namely the Google Nexus 5X and the Google Nexus 6P, and the devices have been available for pre-order for a while now. While the purposed release date is the 2nd of November some people are already getting them, while others are already getting messages from their carriers/retailers. Bell for instance is contacting customers who pre-ordered a Nexus 6P and letting them now that they are having some supply constraints. This is the same thing that happened with the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 6 after their initial releases, and this is happening because there’s a very high demand for Nexus devices but not so much supply.

The initial release dates for the Nexus 6P were October 29 and November 5 for various options, but every retailer and carrier makes its own rules. While these are the shipping dates for the Nexus 6P, lots of retailers are offering it earlier for instance on the 23rd of October and even nowadays as you’ve seen. If history is to repeat itself then it will take a while for all those Nexus units to become available, and if you’re trying to get a Nexus 6P then you will probably find that your order could get delayed multiple times.
In terms of repairability, the scores a fairly respectable 7 out of 10, though slightly worse than the original which nabbed an 8 out of 10.

The new Nexus 5X is easy to fix because it is easily accessible on the inside. Now we see a great refresh of that great smartphone in the Google Nexus 5X, still made by the same Korean gadget manufacturer, but adding a nifty feature set to the popular name.

Opening the LG Nexus 5X is also easy as it does not have any screws holding together the back cover and the main body. The back panel is held in place with several clips instead. And although the battery isn't user-replaceable, the iFixit team noted that it isn't actually too challenging to remove. The folks at iFixit have just given the Nexus 5X the teardown treatment, revealing all the components that make up this new mid-tier flagship. However, this teardown attests it is equipped with the ability to support the feature in the future, since it houses the Qualcomm SMB1358, Quick Charge 2.0 IC.

Another disappointing aspect of the Nexus 5X is its fused display assembly - glass and LCD - so you'll have to replace the entire assembly if you break either.

In the meantime, apart from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset which powers the Nexus 5X, a few other components which are noteworthy a Samsung-made 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM module, a Sony IMX377 12.3 MP rear camera sensor and a Toshiba-made eMMC 5.0 Flash Memory module. Of course, it also touts the Nexus Imprint fingerprint reader. Head over to their teardown if you're interested in a closer look at the innards of the handset.
