CNN Money drop tests the DROID Turbo 2

You must find the Droid Turbo 2 hidden in the building within 30 seconds to win the smartphone.

The Moto X Force features a new display technology the company is calling "Shattershield" that's made up of five layers that all work together to absorb shock and avoid cracking.

And - this is starting to sound like a bad informercial - wait, there's more: The Turbo 2 also has a 48-hour battery, and if you're under a time crunch, you can charge your phone with 13 hours of battery in 15 minutes using TurboPower. Motorola advertises it as "the world's first shatterproof display" and claims that the display won't crack even if you drop your phone right on the screen.

Although a shatterproof display may seem unimaginable, Motorola managed to nail it. Its Droid Turbo 2's display just seems indestructible. A few dents though.

Since there aren't any major differences between the Moto X Force and Motorola Droid Turbo 2, those of you who are not accustomed to being bound by contract to a carrier now have the option of getting a future-proof phone for an affordable price, unlocked and with the nearest stock-Android experience Motorola has to offer.

The cameras - 21-megapixels on the back and 5-megapixels on the front - appear to be good shooters, on-par with the Moto X Pure Edition's, though we'll need to do a proper shoot-out and examine the sample photos before making a final call.

Measuring 149.80 × 78.00 × 9.20 millimeters and weighing 169 grams, this remarkable smartphone runs on a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 processor, 3 GB RAM, a choice of 32 or 64 GB storage versions, with expandable microSD storage up to 2,000 GB, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS upgrade-ready for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. So if you're here in the USA, you'll have to import it, unfortunately. It has a ShatterShield shatterproof display, with a won't-crack-though-you-drop guarantee of up to four years. Where they take the iPhone 6S, a Galaxy S6 and the Moto X Force and drop them all on concrete.

Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed at its durability and ruggedness.
