Multiple Murder in Texas Campground

A former classmate of the man accused of killing six people at a campsite in Anderson County reveals new details about the alleged killer. Records indicate that the murder suspect is being held on $2.5 million bond.

Six people have been found dead, including four in a pond, on a rural East Texas property.

Apparently shots were heard on the property between 4am and 5am Sunday, and an injured female-the only survivor-called police about the attack. Afterwards authorities discovered four dead men, who were believed to be missing, in a pond on Hudson's property on Monday afternoon.

Hudson has no known relationship to the family and isn't cooperating with police, Taylor said, adding that a motive is unclear.

This woman also says that Hudson did have a daughter, and his parents had owned the land adjacent to the campsite where Carl and Hannah Johnson were found.

Hudson, 33, was arrested and jailed on suspicion of murder.

One woman survived and called 911. Taylor said there were no other suspects.

Hudson is reportedly unrelated to the victims. Five males and one female were killed. Kade Johnson was Hannah's 6-year-old son.

According to public records, Cynthia and Carl lived in Hillsboro, Texas-about 85 miles west of the crime scene. The sheriff's office said that additional charges against Hudson are expected.

 

The Texas Rangers, Anderson County Sheriff's Office and Palestine Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
