'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Arriving with 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

The Force Awakens set to become one of the biggest films of the year, it's little wonder that other movies are looking to attach trailers to it. It had already been announced that the first look at Captain America: Civil War would be released alongside The Force Awakens.

The next installment in the X-Men series, X-Men: Apocalypse, could have its trailer debut ahead of the little sci-fi sequel hitting theaters on December 18 (something about a force awakening, in case you haven't heard of it).

Meanwhile, fans are set to see the mutants in Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse", which centers on the rise of En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, as he recruits his powerful Horsemen to help him destroy humanity.

There are also rumors circulating that the first "Captain America:Civil War" trailer will also run ahead of the biggest movie - especially since the Marvel movie is part of the same parent studio, Disney, as "Star Wars".

Given what was shown over at Comic-Con earlier this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few sort of condensed version of that for the trailer.

If you were shut out of San Diego Comic Con when 20 Century Fox unveiled the first footage from X-Men: Apocalypse to a select crowd, your long mutant drought is close to being over.

X-Men: Apocalypse arrives on May 27th, 2016. He explained that in his past "X-Men" movies, he usually endeavor to keep it under two hours.

X-Men: Apocalypse takes place a decade after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and once again stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. With the May 27, 2016 showing of "X-Men: Apocalypse", the third movie in the second trilogy, it will culminate the franchise on a very high note.
