PM Modi enjoys royal lunch with Queen Elizabeth II

Earlier, a visit to the factory of Tata Motors-owned JLR in the West Midlands region was said likely to be squeezed in, based on availability of time.

Signifying the high importance Britain attaches to Modi's visit, Queen Elizabeth II hosted lunch in his honour on Friday.

On Thursday, deals worth $14 billion were signed by the businesses of the two countries. "India is a vibrant democracy and we are committed to protect the rights granted to every citizen under the country's constitution".

#"Your warm welcome makes me feel home", Modi told the biggest gathering of Indian diaspora he has ever addressed since assuming office in May 2014.

It will be the first time William and Kate have visited the region, and as such they will undertake a broad range of engagements during their time in India, reports said. The event is being organised by the Europe India Forum, a non-profit organisation stated by British Indian industrialist Nathu Ram Puri.

Friday evening he is set to address about 60,000 people from India's expatriate community in London's Wembley Stadium. "Now in Britain, we have a few big ambitions too and I know in our mission to deliver that strong economy", he said. "I want to thank the prime minister and acknowledge the affection he has towards India", he said.

In this context, the Prime Minister referred to a youth Imran Khan of Alwar in Rajasthan who made 50 mobile applications and dedicated them to the students without charging anything.

The deals include Merlin Entertainments, the operator of the York Dungeon, opening its first entertainments attraction in India with a Madame Tussauds, while Holland & Barrett worldwide will open 1,000 outlets in the country over the next five years.

The British prime minister said that "India-UK ties are about people and about prosperity". He also said that the relationship between India and the United Kingdom should be driven by private sector CEOs, who would receive all sorts of help from his government, if they wanted to become a part of the Indian economic development through public-private partnership.
