Uber, Airbnb, Dropbox Earn ideal Scores On LGBT Workplace Report Card

The 2016 CEI rated 1,024 businesses - spanning almost every industry.

Masha Gessen, a Russian journalist and prominent LGBT rights advocate, told the Washington Blade during a 2014 interview that multinational companies that do not offer the same benefits to their LGBT employees in other countries that their USA counterparts receive should not "be landing" on the Corporate Equality Index.

Cooley's lawyers solve legal issues for entrepreneurs, investors, financial institutions and established companies.

Toyota has achieved a ideal score in the CEI since 2008. As a largely franchised company, Denny's diversity also extends to its franchise restaurants which are 45 percent minority-owned, including the Company's largest individually-owned franchisee who is a member of the LGBT community. Rockwell Automation's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.

"2016 is the first year Denny's has participated in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index survey, though this is far from a new priority for us". Sixteen of the companies earned a score of 100 percent, four earned 90 or above, and six earned 80 or above. "While support for LGBT workers is growing in the USA and around the world, too many companies still fail to guarantee basic, vital workplace protections that allow employees to bring their full selves to work".
