Sheamus Cashes In on Roman Reigns, Wins WWE Championship at Survivor Series

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Semi-Finals: Roman Reigns def. Alberto Del Rio (with Zeb Colter) by pin following the Spear to advance to the Finals. The intense rivalry between the two warriors finally came to a head at Survivor Series after weeks of Paige verbally calling out Charlotte, claiming that she only reached the top due to being the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair.

The big spot in the match was Undertaker and Kane putting Braun Strowman through a table with a double choke slam. We also saw The Undertaker and Kane vanquish The Wyatt Family, Charlotte retain her Divas Championship and Goldust return to action.

It might be Survivor Series in name, but the focus on this years pay-per-view event will be far away from the traditional 5-on-5 elimination match.

However, the night was all about the Undertaker, and of course, the WWE World Heavyweight championship.

Roman Reigns is the favorite of the four remaining wrestlers in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament, though Sheamus could use his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the title. A Bryan return would immediately make Reigns a public enemy, as proven by the chorus of boo's Reigns received at the Royal Rumble in January.

Sheamus has been a low-carder for awhile now, including tonight at Survivor Series. Let's run down the show and see what we've got to look forward to. And while fans do certainly love to cheer for Ambrose, I am afraid that this scenario would probably also be the most damaging for his future, if WWE continues to book him the way they have in the past.

They note that Sheamus has been in some tough matches, but he's never been in a TLC match, and Sheamus says he can't prepare for chaos and anarchy. I don't think Sheamus has a long title reign.

That match will happen elsewhere on the card, resembling more of a conventional tag team match. Reigns celebrates with the title in the ring and Ambrose hugs his brother to congratulate him. They already planted the seed with that Triple H segment, and in certain arenas he's already got half the crowd booing him. Dean Ambrose wins with the Dirty Deeds.
