Time Warner Cable reporting massive outage

Thousands of Time Warner Cable customers lost internet Monday night after a massive outage affected much of the Midwest. After approximately two hours without service, officials reported the problem had been corrected.

"Some customers in Ohio, Wisconsin and Kentucky experienced intermittent Internet connection issues", said a company spokesperson.

And while some were angry about potentially paying more for holiday gifts, one Twitter user riffed on the time-honored cable issue.

At or around 8 p.m. CST, TWC sent a Tweet acknowledging the problem and then followed up with a second Tweet.

Earlier in the evening, Time Warner Cable acknowledged in a series of tweets that it was experiencing issues.
