Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson starred in Zoolander 2 breaks record

Zoolander 2 will be released in cinemas in Ireland on 12 February 2016. Stiller directs the movie with a script he co-wrote with Justin Theroux.

Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch, who also features in the trailer, has been blasted for his transgender role with calls for a boycott of Ben Stiller's upcoming comedy.

The film will likely mix light hearted skewering of the fashion industry with even more cameos and totally silly humor, which will work just fine for the many fans of the first film.

The new worldwide trailer for Zoolander 2 focuses on the supporting characters in the comedy, as opposed to Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson who are back as the well intentioned but largely useless Derek Zoolander and Hansel.

Their downward spiral is stopped short when Penelope Cruz's character, Valentina, tells them that she needs their help infiltrating the fashion world in order to stop an evil villain from killing all the lovely people on the planet.

At the end of the trailer, she asks Zoolander to hold onto her assets as she prepares to swim to Rome.

The trailer concludes with Valentina stripping off, urging a clueless Zoolander to "grab her from behind" and use her breasts for buoyancy. Ferrell, who stars as villainous Mugatu, wears an animal print long coat and a pair of hilarious sunglasses which match his puddle's.
