Justin got baptized in an National Basketball Association player's bathtub!

According to an article in the January 2016 issue of GQ, Justin Bieber was apparently baptized in Tyson Chandler's bathtub.

By calling Chandler, then with the New York Knicks, at 2 a.m. to ask if Bieber could be baptized in the pool of his nearby building.

Here are the basic details.

Pastor Carl Lentz of Hillsong tried bringing Bieber to a Manhattan hotel where the "megachurch" rents pools for the occasion, the story said, but with the paparazzi swarming, he instead called up Chandler, who now plays for the Suns.

But Justin Bieber is said to have got baptised in an National Basketball Association player's bathtub after he turned to God after his spectacular fall from grace in 2013, a year in which his bad behavior infamously included urinating in a restaurant cleaner's bucket.

Bieber went underwater, Lentz performed the baptism, and all has been well for the pop singer ever since. As Bieber started spiralling out of control, Lentz was right there trying to help him get his life back together. So the group used the next-best thing: Chandler's bathtub.

"So I called my boy", Carl says. Suddenly, Justin was overcome by the Gospel, and he said: "Baptize me".

GQ is sharing the story behind Justin Bieber's spiritual transformation.

"I want to know Jesus..." "I don't want that to come across weird".

In true comedy style, the initial plan had been for the ceremony to take place in his apartment complex's swimming pool, but after it emerged it had closed for the night the 7ft 1ins athlete offered up his oversized bath.
