'Gotham' Season 2 Ep 6 Spoilers: Will Ben McKenzie, Camren Bicondova See

Regarded as a "Selina-centric" episode, "Gotham" Episode 6 is set to showcase events that could eternally alter the fragile relationship between Kyle and lawman Jim Gordon.

Detective Jim Gordon learns the truth about her and tries to help. She does have her good side though and now with the Firefly emerging, we get to see how Selina develops her good side and leaves her pride and ignorance for another time. Jim argued that Bridgit would not go quietly, that she perhaps wanted it to end this way.

Gordon and his alpha squad are trying to root out every known arsonist in town to find out who was responsible for the cop that got burned alive last week while they tried to stop the latest building from being torched.

So she decides to bust them out, but in doing so she is cornered by the Gotham City Police Department. Ed grabs her by the throat and covers her mouth as he pleads with her that he loves her and would never hurt her. He is then shocked to find he just strangled her to death. Bullock and Gordon investigate the scene and find the bodies. What comes next is a mystery (or a riddle?), but I would expect the transformation from mild-mannered Edward Nygma to famous Batman villain to kick into overdrive in the next few weeks.

But, I will never look at taquitos or BBQ the same way after his lines this week. Selina tips off Gordon that Bridgit is at a warehouse where women are being sold; she's burning men who are selling them while setting the women free. But this shaky-cam scene's creep factor gets multiplied when Indian Hill is revealed to be a Wayne Enterprises installation - the first really strong twist in the endless hinting at the company's horrific background. They understand the struggle of growing up in a chaotic place like Gotham. He promises Selina to do anything he can to save the arguably coerced Brigit even as he promises his Captain to play the hunt for the killer as straight as possible.

While the focus of recent Gotham episodes has been on Bridgit Pike, aka Firefly (Michelle Veintimilla), a big part of that subplot has been dealing with the friendship between Bridgit and Selina Kyle. She's going to have to turn to herself - at this point, she's going to need to remind herself that she has raised herself and taught herself things that adults don't even know in Gotham, so she's going to need to remind herself that she's gotten this far on her own and she can go further on her own, because she is very independent for her age.

Last year, plot threads and twists were introduced in one episode with expectations for a long running narrative only to have them neatly wrapped up the following week. I expected this week to continue the framework of all of those stories but, sadly, this week marked the abrupt conclusion of all three. Selina tells Bridgit that they are only there to make a quick buck and not to be a heroes. The actress also said that she was also thrilled to see what the future episode would bring to the screen.

Gordon reports back to Barnes and tells him he told Selina, his informant, that he'd protect Bridgit, but Barnes doesn't want to hear it. She killed three people and Barnes wants her brought to justice. I am pretty sure she has promised this before and eventually came on back. Her parting gift to Gordon is to tell him that Penguin hired the Pikes which makes him question the reason why the King of Gotham would do such a thing.

After having his hand hacked off by the Penguin last week, Butch shows up as a Trojan horse to attempt to get into Theo Galavan's good graces. He even chopped the guy's hand off to make it seem more realistic.

Other developments: Galavan took Butch on, with Tabitha attaching a hammer to his stump! Imagine that. Galavan also continues to ingratiate himself with young Bruce Wayne and offers himself as surrogate family to the young millionaire. Mostly because it is Catwoman we are talking about and because she might be tore up about Bruce's feelings for her and the way Alfred treated her.

In other tragic news, Edward invited Miss Kringle over to his place for dinner, and the evening truly went as well as the geeky CSI could have hoped.
