The Oppo Neo 7 is an entry-level smartphone with good looks

We expect an affordable device although the company hasn't yet detailed the price. This isn't a phone that's going to stun with specs but for an expected price of £100 there's plenty on offer.

Just after introducing Oppo R7s in the smartphone market, a week before at an event held in Dubai, the company has announced its new mobile phone Oppo Neo 7, which is listed on the company's official website. The most intriguing aspect of the Oppo Neo 7 is the mirror-like finish, which points to a female audience. According to Oppo, there will be a few versions of the device launched in the coming weeks, so depending on the region, you will be able to get one or another. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

Further, the Oppo Neo 7 is equipped with 16GB of in-built memory, with an expansion option of up to 128GB via microSD card slot. It is fronted with a 5-inch qHD TFT display with 540×960 pixels of resolution. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop based ColorOS 2.1. Even the selfie camera is a 5-megapixel shooter that uses the screen as a flash. It weighs 141 grams and measures 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55 mm. The major improvements on this device can be seen in the camera department, it comes with an 8MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash, on the front it has a 5MP front-facing camera. It will be available in the colours Black and White.

Moreover, the connectivity options supports, 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.

The operating system is Android 5.1 with the ColourOS 2.1 skinned over the top.
