BCCI replies to PCB's letter

Earlier, the a lot-anticipated scheduled assembly between the PCB and BCCI officers to talk about the matter was cancelled after the Shiv Sena staff opposed it and barged into the headquarters of the Indian cricket board in Mumbai.

Expressing his views on the same, Miandad said this clearly shows that neither the BCCI nor the Indian Government is honest about the series in December, the Dawn reported.

The Indian board is expected to receive a reply from the government in mid-November. "This attitude of India towards other cricketing nations is the beginning of their downfall and the day is not far when India would itself ask Pakistan for a series".

Mumbai:BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur has said that the government of Pakistan should talk to its Indian counterpart to make way for resumption of bilateral cricket between the two countries.

Khan had come to India along with a PCB delegation to meet the BCCI top brass to discuss about the proposed series in December but had to return empty handed without meeting the Indian officials.

Miandad said BCCI's attitude and ego has changed after getting the status in the Big 3.

He pointed the Ashes series between England and Australia is played on regular basis than why not an Indo-Pak series. "It is India which does not want it because they are afraid to lose and to play against Pakistan", he said.

Miandad insisted that Pakistan must boycott the World Twenty20 in India next year.

"If respect really matters to the PCB, then it should not send the team to the World T20", he emphasised.
