National Football League on CBS Game of the Week Odds & Spread: Broncos vs. Colts

Indianapolis' Tow Yard Brewing Co. and Denver's Factotum Brewhouse have collaborated on a Peyton Manning-themed beer named Oatmaha that will be unveiled before Sunday's Week 9 matchup between the Broncos and Colts. Given the way their respective seasons have gone, individually, this promises to be a clash of the Titanics at quarterback. We were playing great defense.

A "lucky" 6-0 team has morphed into a monster at 7-0 and NFL Nation is already making plans for the next Battle of Unbeatens - November 29 in Denver when the New England Patriots make a rare visit.

To get highlights and scores, go to NFL. Denver is coming off a signature win against Green Bay, holding mighty Aaron Rodgers to a grand total of 50 net passing yards on his 25 dropbacks.

In addition to the big sack and interception numbers, they've forced a league-high 14 fumbles, recovering eight.

This time, he brings the kind of stellar special teams and dominant defense that Colts owner Jim Irsay insists he was talking about when he dissed the iconic QB two years ago.

Manning has thrown seven TD passes, been intercepted 11 times and has a quarterback rating of only 75.1 - the lowest of his career after his rookie season.

"It's about winning. Winning the game and adding onto what these guys have accomplished here before I arrived", said the newest Broncos' tight end Vernon Davis.

"He's going, he's going to play, I feel very good about the things we've asked him to do this week, " Kubiak said. "It's going to be a tough game". It seemed to get in his head a little bit, so you put all those things together and maybe this isn't such the blowout win Broncos fans are expecting.

Gary Kubiak announced that edge rusher Shane Ray and Jordan Norwood would both miss their second straight game on Sunday. Even if he does play, he'll be something less than 100 percent. Wide out Phillip Dorsett is going to be out with an ankle injury and T.Y. Hilton will be questionable with a foot injury. While Denver's championship-worthy defense certainly played a key role in shutting down Green Bay, it was the revitalization of a struggling offense that was the biggest positive takeaway from the game. The Broncos will be seeking revenge not only for their early playoff exit in 2014, but also for their quarterback who could lay claim to two more National Football League records with a strong performance against his former team. When he doesn't, well, the ball tends to float, often into the hands of defenders.

The Broncos are just too stacked across the board to falter against a Colts team that is struggling mightily at this point in the season. However, there are a few players that will not partake in the game.

He approaches his old teammate aggressively, but with a respectful measure of caution. "You've got to do it every week". I guess the point is that any doubts we have about Peyton Manning have nothing to do with his ability to prove us wrong; any doubts we have about Peyton Manning have more to do with our fear that his body won't let him prove us wrong.
