Autopsy confirms homicide in death of 7-year-old Allen Co. girl

A search began immediately and by 8:05pm, the girl's body was found in a creek in a wooded area behind the school. Just 25 minutes later Gabby was found down by the creek.

Gabriella Doolin was reported missing by her mother at 7:40 p.m. Saturday during a football game on the Allen County-Scottsville High School campus in Scottsville, Ky., reports the Bowling Green Daily News.

Gabriella's father, Brian Doolin, took the mic to speak to about 600 people at a vigil Sunday night.

An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of her death.

Gabriella's death shocked the small, rural community about 65 miles northeast of Nashville, Tennessee.

After interviewing witnesses, KSP says police followed a tip that led them to searching property on Mount Carmel Church Road.

"This could happen anywhere, very quickly".

The community has to raise money to support Gabbi's family. He also later took to to thank everyone for their support.

"We, as a community, Brian, stand with you, this whole town stands with you tonight", said Pastor Keith Patrick. "I don't know why anyone would do this to a baby or anyone for that matter!" Hold those babies tight, hold...I'd love to hold her just one more time.

The community has raised more than $20,000 through a GoFundMe account to help pay for Gabriella's funeral costs.
