Fossil Q Founder Android Wear Smartwatch Launched

The design is notable for its classy structure, but the smart features users expect in a smartwatch are there, such as incoming notifications, appointment alerts, and more. Like most smartwatches now available in the market, the Q Founder comes with a fitness tracker and connectivity support for smartphones. The specs are still foggy for now, as their official site doesn't give us a full breakdown.

Watch maker Fossil has just entered the Android Wear arena with the launch of the Q Founder, Digital Spy reports.

Fossil has provided its own selection of custom watch faces, and Q Curiosity is a feature that prompts you to break from your daily routines and try something new. In late October, the watchmaker unveiled its other devices, namely the Q Reveler and Q Dreamer fitness trackers and the Q Grant smartwatch, for $125 each. As you can see from the photos, it looks like a timepiece from Fossil, but they took a page from Motorola's playbook with the flat tire. It comes with companion that will let you show timely notifications. When Android Wear was first announced oh so long ago, Fossil was one of the initial partners with Google. The smartwatch is available in selected Fossil stores and online shops. What raises eyebrows is the fact that the Fossil-manufactured wearable is also below the average price-point of other Android Wear devices. The device runs on the Android Wear operating system and is compatible with Android devices running Android 4.4 or above and iOS 8 or above on Apple iPhone 5 or later models. By comparison, the Moto 360 2nd Gen (in equivalent 46mm case size) with metal bands will set you back a cool $400 (same with the Huawei Watch, but it'll be on sale for $100 off this Black Friday) - so yeah, the Fossil offers a little more value for your money.
