Anthem booing in Hong Kong probed

The HKFA was fined more than $5,000 after fans booed the anthem during a match against Qatar in September.

While the Chinese anthem was being played, fans with placard saying "boo" and "Hong Kong is not China" made loud noises.

The city has seen lingering anti-Beijing sentiment since last year's mass pro-democracy street protests.

HKFA said it appeared to have violated a clause in Fifa's disciplinary code on the safety of matches, where associations which organise matches must "ensure that law and order are maintained".

Some of the China Fishery bondholders have appointed the legal firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP to advise them, according to Neil McDonald, a partner at the firm in Hong Kong. In addition, Bauhaus said it had recorded a negative same-store-sales growth rate of some 7 per cent during the six months in the two Special Administrative Regions. Examples of conduct considered improper include "displaying insulting or political slogans in any form" and "uttering insulting words or sounds". "The HKFA is requested by Federation Internationale de Football Association to provide a statement and any supporting evidence that the HKFA may consider as relevant to the present case by 1st December".

Besides the booing, the match took place without any major incident. The match ended with a 0-0 draw and crushed the mainland team's hopes to qualify for the 2016 World Cup. Group Ltd.is among bidders for a Swire Properties Ltd. commercial building in Kowloon Bay that may fetch HK$8 billion ($1 billion), Hong Kong Economic Times reported Wednesday, citing unidentified people.

The CSI300 index rose 0.1 percent, to 3,785.58 points at the end of the morning session, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.3 percent, to 3,657.07 points.

Pui denounced a "small group of silly fans" who booed the anthem.
