Sheena Bora case: Peter remanded in judicial custody

As per a report in Indian Express, the CBI principally asked Peter questions which have been private and just some questions have been associated to cash issues. They also said that the CBI has been able to establish a financial link between Peter and Sheena but officially they are tight lipped about the same.

The agency had cited that even though Peter was not actively involved in executing the kidnapping, murder and destruction of evidence of Sheena Bora, he was constantly in touch with his wife over the phone before, during and after the crime took place. Indrani told him on Skype that she wants to kill both Sheena and Mikhail as they are defaming her.

While the investigating body did not name the Sanatan Sanstha, officials claimed at a hearing before the Bombay High Court (HC) that the CBI team had visited various ashrams of the Sanstha to investigate the case, following which the Sanstha posted several complaints about the investigating team and the officer in charge, creating hurdles in the investigation.

Meanwhile, CBI sources said that the Interpol information of the Hong Kong and Singapore bank accounts opened by Indrani has not yet been received.

Stating that there were no fresh grounds for his further custodial interrogation, the CBI sought judicial custody of Mukerjea, who underwent a polygraph test in New Delhi on November 28.

Besides Mukerjea, the other three prime accused in the case - his wife Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai - are also in judicial custody till December 3.

Advocate Abhay Nevagi, who appeared for Dabholkar's family, said, "In the Sheena Bora murder case, the CBI has filed a 1,000-page charge sheet in 60 days, but in Mr. Dabholkar's case it is either lethargic or is under political pressure".
