Apple drops iPhone 6S price in India ahead of X-Mas

Leading the race and challenge, Snapdeal has come out with maximum range of discount among the e-retailors, offering the iPhone 6s with 16GB at the lowest price of Rs 48,399, with the 64GB version is at Rs 61,999 and the 128GB iPhone 6s is priced at Rs 70,999. The iPhone 6s 16GB model began at 62,000 Rupees in October, and now sells for between 52,000 and 55,000 Rupees, with prices varying between retail locations. The larger iPhone 6s Plus was announced at Rs 72,000 but is now available for Rs 62,000 going up to Rs 86,000 for the 128GB model.

Apple continues to strengthen its foothold in the Indian smartphone market by now reducing the price of the two-month-old iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in the country.

With the reduction in prices, the price gap between iPhone 6 devices launched in 2014 and the ones launched in 2015 has reduced significantly. Prices of all the models of iPhone that is - 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB have been slashed.

Apple has slashed the price of its bestselling iPhone 5s for the third time in a span of just three months - to counter the decline in the demand for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus after Diwali. These new smartphones are the costliest to buy in India than any other place in the world until now.

The site of Amazon India has listed the iPhone 6s (Rose Gold, 16GB) at Rs 47,999 and the product is in stock.

The price cuts indicate that Apple maybe trying to revive demand in the October-to-December quarter, which has historically been the strongest period for the company due to its flagship launches.

If your budget is low, Apple iPhone is what you desire above all, iPhone 5s is a good option and knowing the quality of Apple devices, this one will easily last for two years without trouble.

Pathak stressed that the iPhone 5s, launched in 2013, could take the wind out of iPhone 6s sales, given the massive price difference between them.
