New Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Details: Amiibo, Online, Rosalina

For amiibo, gamers will be able to pick between "supported amiibo figures" to team up with in online double matches. Brightly colored Chance Areas will also sometimes appear during matches to allow you to "unleash super-strong smash or bamboozling slices to flummox adversaries on the other side of the net".

Mario Tennis is delivering new moves, along with the typical topspin and lob shots gamers are used to, and those include the brand-new "Ultra Smash".

Nintendo has released a few new information for their upcoming title Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for the Wii U. An array of gameplay modes offer plenty of opportunities for tennis tomfoolery: · Knockout Challenge: Tense tiebreak matches against increasingly hard computer-controlled opponents await in this single-player mode. One player can have their own screen on the GamePad while others play on the TV using Wii remotes, Wii U Pro controllers, or Classic Controller Pros.

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash launches on November 20th in North America and Europe exclusively on Wii U. More on the game will sure be coming soon so stay tuned for all the latest news. They'll also play on ice, because this is a Mario games and that's just silly. The more you play with your amiibo, the more experience it gains. If the going gets too tough, you can call in a supported amiibo as your doubles partner. Those include the aforementioned Knockout Challenge mode, Mega Battle, Classic Tennis and Online Multiplayer.

Mega Battle: Grabbing a Mega Mushroom increases the size of your character, giving them more power and a better range.

Two new controller designs - Wii Remote Plus Toad and Wii Remote Plus Bowser - will also be available on November 20.
