Skype brings Bollywood content Mojis: Microsoft India, subsidiary of software behemoth, Microsoft Inc, announced at a press event that Bollywood content will now be available in Skype emoji. "Your favorite stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, and Ranvir Singh, to name a few, are now at your fingertips to help you make your chats more expressive than ever", read a blog post that appeared on the official website of Skype. Mojis are a lot like animated GIFs but more like short video clips. For the new feature, Skype has cooperated with Indian studios Yash Raj Films and ErosNow, the on-interest diversion stage of Eros worldwide, to create custom Mojis for Skype clients.

The new Bollywood Mojis and emoticons will be available in the features tab of the emoticon picker on Skype for Windows desktop, Mac, iOS, Android and Skype for Web. He said, "We identified that these clips might be heavy on data usage for users and hence we have cached them on the app itself reducing the need for the user to download them everytime while sending them over the platform".

In addition to it, Skype also allows its users to send new emoticons that are based on local culture. The introduction of Skype Mojis is an extremely innovative addition to instant messaging that should get instant traction, ' said Anand Gurani, VP-Digital, Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd. "While these Mojis aren't rolled out for Windows Phone, Skype is working on getting the experience right for Windows 10 mobile".
