Katie Holmes 'regrets' upsetting Leah Remini

"What the hell is this guy doing? He just needs to be an actor!" We need to stop all this.

Kirstie Alley, a very vocal Scientologist, retweeted a cryptic message that was originally posted by fellow church member, Jenna Elfman.

Another rift resulted from a pair of incidents involving the actress and Tom Cruise and his then-girlfriend Katie Holmes. Remini and her husband arrived late to the wedding.

Church members immediately deemed Remini as "self-absorbed" and as someone with an "insatiable attitude for attention".

Besides bumping heads with the Cruises, Leah ruffled major feathers within the church over the reported disappearance of David Miscavige's wife, Shelly.

Tom Cruise's wedding marked the beginning of the end for Leah's time in the church.

A representative for the Church of Scientology told ABC News that Remini's statements about the wedding are not only "untrue" but "ridiculous and stupid".

It's also interesting, although not altogether unsurprising, that in every instance Remini claims she voluntarily abandoned a part of Scientology, such as quitting Sea Org or leaving Scientology itself, the church claims that she was either kicked out, or on the verge of being kicked out and had petitioned and failed to stay. "I could only assume because they wanted to make Jennifer a Scientologist and maybe I was barring that road for them", she said. Rather than take responsibility for self-inflicted problems, she is quick to blame others.

In a letter allegedly written by Holmes, however, The Kennedys star reportedly filed a complaint about Remini following the wedding as well. In her upcoming interview with 20/20, Remini is exposing Holmes and her ex-husband for one of their kissing moments during her Scientology days at Cruises home. That was an eye-opener for Remini. "I said, "Hey, get a frickin" room, ' and I was written up for that". On Friday, the 45-year-old actress finally got it.

"I decided I didn't want to raise my daughter in the church because from what I've experienced and what I saw, the church becomes your everything", she said earlier this year on her reality show, Leah Remini: It's All Relative.

Remini has yet to comment on the apology.

Holmes was married to Cruise for six years. As a matter of fact, Katie Holmes isn't saying anything about the Church of Scientology.

Remini quit the church in 2013 and has since been publicly critical about it, but her assertions were nothing compared to what she revealed on the special that aired Friday night.

Remini was also sanctioned by the organisation for violating its policies on drug-free childbirth and choosing to get an epidural, but the final straw came when officials came to her house and abused her for continuing to ask questions about Shelly Miscavige. Also speaking with Remini's mother and sister, Harris covered a childhood obsessed with "moving up the bridge", "auditing" and other Scientology staples.
