Late Steven Hauschka field goal denies Dallas Cowboys first win in five

In the second half, the Cowboys continued to have trouble finding the end zone.

The Seattle Seahawks aren't about to apologize for an uneven and, a few might say, ugly offensive showing Sunday.

Cassel completed just 13 of 25 passes for 97, absurdly inefficient considering only three times did Cassel throw the ball 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Lynch finished with 71 yards on 21 carries. The four games Seattle has lost have been against teams that are 23-4. Upon further review the refs decided that Cassel's arm was moving forward and that the pass was incomplete.

There's more evidence every week that Wilson has nearly no help on offense; this week, he had even less in the second half Sunday, after Ricardo Lockette's terrifying head injury at the end of the first half.

No, he won't win it, even if he miraculously returned to the Cowboys' lineup next week and went undefeated the rest of the way. Dallas inactives: QB Kellen Moore, G Ronald Leary, RB Joseph Randle, TE Geoff Swaim, DE Ryan Russell, CB Tyler Patmon and WR Brice Butler.... It was the first time all season that a Cowboys quarterback had been held under 100 yards passing. Lockette immediately slumped to the ground on his side and appeared to be unconscious when trainers and medical officials quickly got there to attend to him.

"We just made a mistake, and we just put the ball back where it was and started things back up again without granting the timeout", Cheffers said. With just enough offense and a defense that can still get it done, the Seahawks find themselves at. Sherman made one uncharacteristic gaffe, a holding penalty in the fourth quarter that nullified a 62-yard punt return by Tyler Lockett that could have set up a decisive touchdown.

Instead, the Seahawks came away convinced that they're positioned for a second-half rally like those that have taken them to the last two Super Bowls. But what they did is what we used to see from them all the time. "He caught his ankle yesterday in practice and got it rolled up a little bit".

~Jimmy Graham looked positively Jimmy Grahamy today, garnering a team-high 10 targets, 33% of Wilson's total. The emotional lift that Bryant provided wasn't matched by his production.

"I thought the defense was lights out tonight, making big plays for us", Wilson said. "That's super scary because at the end of the day you guys talk about this or talk about that but at the end of the day it's just a game". Somehow the referee allowed the clock to continue running which caused the Cowboys to use their final timeout in the game.

Sherman had spent most of his first four seasons anchored to his left-cornerback spot. Paul Richardson and Jeremy Lane should be back in a fortnight to face those very same Cardinals at Century Link. For all of the garbage and drama and frustration of the last two (nine, really) months, the Seattle Seahawks still control their own destiny for the NFC West and from there, all bets are off.
