PGW 2015: New Star Wars Battlefront Trailer Released

Because of such stringent marketing strategy, Cinema Blend, among others, is pondering whether there really is a surprise involving the character or that showing him in the trailers would reveal too much of the movie's storyline. "This is great. You tell me man. You made all this s*** up". Now the questions continue, except this time instead of from fans or members of the press, Vanity Fair recruited a few celebrities to have their turn at asking Abrams. For reference, Abrams produced Cloverfield, but didn't direct the monster movie.

Now according to Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, all the questions about Luke's appearance (or non-appearance as the case may be) isn't a mistake but a very calculated move.

The report points out that this response is perfectly what fans would expect Abrams to say, given that the director is known for keeping secrets regarding his films up to the day they release.

Yahoo Global News Anchor Catie Couric wanted to know where Abrams will be the night "The Force Awakens" opens, to which he replied, "I most likely will be asleep". While there is no Luke (apart from possibly his robotic hand), old favourites Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia are all in there, plus a host of new characters. Everybody wants to know the plot for Star Wars 7, yet it's one of the most closely guarded secrets in movie history, so much, in fact, that even Star Wars creator George Lucas can't get a straight answer. Adam Driver plays Kylo Ren, the new Darth Vader-worshipping villain of the franchise, but maybe that means he's willing to work for Darth's only son?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, premieres in Los Angeles on December 14, and releases across America December 18th. It's important to note that Kasdan wrote two of the most lauded installments in the Star Wars series-"The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".
