Blackberry Priv hits AT&T November 6th for $0 down or $250

Still Verizon was named as one of the telcos who would be flogging the BlackBerry Priv, although none of them have made any official announcement that they will be going near the Priv with a barge-pole. The BlackBerry Priv packs a 3,410 mAh battery along with Charge 2.0 and wireless charging support (Qi and PMA). Another reason why this is supposed to be a Verizon handset is that in the screen's notification list there is an announcement that reads "Enhanced Verizon Store visits". As we live in an era when 14-year-olds can master Adobe Photoshop, skepticism about the information is advised.

Techtimes reports that there have been previous rumors about Verizon that were actually true. In 2014, sources indicated that Sony Xperia Z2 planned to play in the big red's team, but in the end it proved to be just empty talk.

AT&T said it would be the first US carrier to offer the BlackBerry Priv, powered by Google's Android mobile platform. Blackberry is only shipping pre-orders for the phone for GSM based phone carriers, which is great for most carriers including AT&T and T-Mobile.

What else is certain about the BlackBerry Priv? BlackBerry's upcoming Android phone also features an 18 MP rear camera.

Speaking of specifications, the handset features a 5.4-inch display, 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and Corning's Gorilla Class 4 protection.

The phone will also be available through other authorized distributors in Japan such as Chung Yuen Electrical Co, Ltd, Broadway Photo Supply Ltd and Blackberry's distributor, Qool worldwide Ltd. A few other companies will also receive licenses to distribute the device.

Thankfully, we finally have a date for when you can get your hands on the Priv - starting November 6 - as well as where you can get it from, other than from BlackBerry itself, where pre-orders have pegged the price at $699 unlocked.
