Kevin White Activated by Bears

The Bears have been without Forte for three games, but backup Jeremy Langford has done a good job filing in.

But these days, the future in Chicago isn't so certain for Forte. But Forte's overall numbers in seven games are a bit skewed by that first game.

On Tuesday the Bears announced that they have opened up the practice window for wide receiver and first round draft pick Kevin White. But with a week of preparation under his belt, Langford put together a strong effort against the Chargers the next week, combining for 142 total yards and a touchdown.

The news is more favorable for Forte and Jeffery, who both sat out Sunday's game against the Broncos to get extra rest. Third string Ka'Deem Carey did not practice this week as he is still recovering from his concussion from last Sunday.

The Bears would seem to have no real incentive to rush White back, given their record and their long-term vision for him. He also has to be careful not to push himself too hard.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is expected to play against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is hopeful to play. Statistically, he was having a Pro Bowl year, and would have been in the runnning for All-Pro discussions.

The Bears are coming off consecutive road wins over the San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Rams, and now return home with the idea of making a late run toward the postseason. The running back has missed the past three games with a knee injury. He looked good out there today.

"In this league, it's about the more the merrier", Fox said, via ESPN.com. Of course, that was a 31-23 Packers victory at Soldier Field.
