Rami Malek is competing in the best TV drama actor category thanks to his part in Mr. Robot and is equally amazed to find himself mentioned alongside the likes of Jon Hamm, Wagner Moura, Bob Odenkirk and Liev Schreiber. However, the Oscar nominations don't always go hand in hand with the Golden Globes and the SAGs. The 2016 awards season, however, demonstrates a change in the television industry: the non-traditional markets have taken over.
