Wait, Do Jeb's Big Donors Really Think Trump is Harmless?

He told NPR that Trump's plan would be counterproductive to USA efforts to destroy the self-proclaimed Islamic State. "I mean, it's beyond ridiculous; it's quite unsafe".

He also was asked about his GOP rival Trump, whose Mar-A-Lago mansion is only a few miles from where Bush spoke and who had been in town in recent days.

"I think the emotion of the here and now will subside", Bush added.

"But for Barack Obama, Donald Trump's effect would not be almost as strong as it is", Bush said.

Bush says President Obama paved the way for it.

Bush panned ideas such as Trump's proposal to build a wall along the border and make Mexico pay for it, saying the suggestion was unserious. A total of 75 percent of Democrats back Clinton, and 63 percent of Republicans support Trump.

The Bush campaign confirmed Wednesday that it would be canceling $3 million in reserved TV advertisements, refocusing the money on getting more staffers on the ground in early voting states, SC and Iowa.

"People are legitimately angry, but they should want solutions, rather than just have some people that identify with their anger and their angst", Bush said.

Bush said there's no meat behind Trump's controversial pronouncements.

"The good news is, expectations are low for me, and I'm definitely gonna beat those", he said.
