Prakash Jha Denies Making Voluntary Cuts to Jai GangaaJal

Priyanka Chopra's next release Jai Gangaajal apparently ran into stormy weather at the CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification). He says he never made any voluntary cuts for a "UA" certificate.

Rubbishing all this news Prakash Jha said that it was absolute non sense what media has speculated about the issue which is misleading the fans & audience who earlier questioned the director via social media. The offensive word incidentally figures in Chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani's infamous cuss list. "Saala is a word we use in everyday conversation. I'm not saying anything anti-national or anti-religion", he told Mirror. "On the off chance that makers go for a particular blue pencil confirmation they might alter the film deliberately as indicated by the censorial rules, or be willing to take an "A" testament if the substance is observed to be excessively unequivocal". He sat in the screening and headed the committee.

The irony is that one of Jha's previous films, Gangaajal (2003), starring Ajay Devgn, was passed easily at the time with only one word muted, despite being full of profanity and violence, and has been telecast on TV "over 300 times".

Mumbai: Actor Manav Kaul, whose performance was appreciated in "Kai Po Che!", will now be seen playing a grey character in "Jai Gangaajal". They wanted me to reduce an action scene by 50 per cent, I'm okay with that, but not okay with the language being diluted. Else, I'll move court.
