Indian origin Aziz Ansari ranks sixth on Forbes highest-paid comedians list

Jerry Seinfeld has topped Forbes' 2015 list of highest-paid comedians, with estimated earnings of $36 million (£23.3m) this year. He also now stars in the successful web-based series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee".

John Bishop is representing British comedy after being named in 2015's list of highest-earning comedians.

Second on the Forbes list, which was noticeably absent of any female comics, is Kevin Hart.

The Liverpudlian, who will perform a sold-out show at Sydney Opera House on Wednesday night as part of his Australian tour, has made it into the top ten for the first time.

He played only 12 gigs during Forbes's scoring period, but clearly coined it in at each one.

Ride Along star Kevin Hart came in second place with $28.5m (£18.5m) after starring in a number of Hollywood films in the past year. He is in the middle of a five-year residency at Las Vegas' Mirage Hotel, reported to be worth $100m.

Peters, an Indo-Canadian comedian, earned United States dollars 19 million to be tied for the fourth position with Jeff Dunham, while "Parks and Recreation star Ansari, 32, claimed the sixth position with an earning of USD 9.5 million".

Comedian Aziz Ansari has managed to feature his name on the Forbes list of Highest-Paid Comedians 2015.

The insiders said that he recently negotiated a 160 million dollar deal with Hulu for the streaming rights to his iconic series.

The 36-year-old Philadelphia native made $28.5 million in a year.
