Michelle Rodriguez in Tomboy?

In a movie that could either help the Transgender movement exponentially or set it back a dozen or so years, Walter Hill is directing Tomboy, A Revenger’s Tale, which revolves around Michelle Rodriguez being turned from a hitman into a hitwoman by Sigourney Weaver's evil surgeon. The title character later takes revenge on his tormentor, who will be played by Alien's Sigourney Weaver. The film's storyline doesn't appear to be all that favorable towards transgenderism, as an angry, post-operative, she-male seeking to avenge the loss of his you-know-what isn't exactly the stereotype the transgender community is looking to promote. The movies is about a brilliant assassin who is double crossed by a criminal, later finding himself in the hands of a rouge surgeon who turns him into a woman.

It'll be an interesting role for Rodriguez to tackle and a welcome leading performance give how often she's been in ensembles recently.

"We are beyond excited to be working with Walter, a renowned filmmaker known for producing the classic "Alien" franchise who continues to break boundaries with this original script which has attracted a phenomenal cast and crew. I can't be the girl who gets empowered and then dies".

Instead, the Fast and Furious veteran explained, she is willing to work hard to carve a niche out for herself.

The movie is due to start filming in Vancouver, Canada on November 9.
