Packers expect Davante Adams and Morgan Burnett to return this week

You can't expect Green Bay to stay down, and, despite the view of many, Manning will get it going.

"The bye week is always helpful for guys to heal up", veteran safety Morgan Burnett said. "That extra week of rest, that really helps out a lot".

Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy expresses optimism that both can practice Monday, opening the door for a return this weekend.

The Green Bay Packers' beleaguered offense is on the verge of getting a few much-needed relief. Like Adams, Burnett says he feels better now than before the Chargers' win - but he could not say whether he'll play against the Broncos.

If either Burnett or Adams practices Monday, it may be a positive indication for their availability for Week 8.

Ditto for the mindset of Adams. Yet Manning and company are actually underdogs against Aaron Rodgers and the visiting Green Bay Packers this Sunday, according to the latest National Football League odds. "I just want to get it to where I'm not thinking about it".

"You want to have all your weapons", McCarthy said about Adams. Unfortunately, the injury has set him back and has not allowed him to improve early on in the season like he was to.

Still to be determined throughout the week is whether Raji and Perry will be cleared for a return against the Broncos.

In addition to the players who missed games, the bye week surely helped others playing through injuries.

Adams reminds Hayward of San Diego Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, who is on pace for almost 1,600 receiving yards this season.

Adams injured his left ankle on September 20 against Seattle, but was able to finish that game. He immediately stepped into the starting lineup due to the torn ACL that is keeping Jordy Nelson off the field for the season.

In 1973, Minnesota and the Rams were both 6-0 and the Vikings won 10-9. In what could very well be Manning's last season in the National Football League, he has thrown more interceptions (10) than touchdowns (seven), something he has not done since his rookie season. The wide receiver also suffered an ankle injury. They had 80 yards to go in those 157 seconds.

-RUSHING OFFENSE: B-minus. If Eddie Lacy continues to be bothered by a sprained ankle he sustained in Week 2, neither he nor the coaches are letting on. He has been limited to 17 carries for 30 yards the last two games after he mustered a season-high 90 yards in 18 attempts in the Week 4 win at the San Francisco 49ers.

Injuries have slowed the Packers' historically potent passing game.

What's interesting is that in total defense (yards per game), Green Bay drops all the way down to 14th, which is telling about the way they've been winning.
