Va. student accused of plotting attack at high school

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office arrested a 15-year-old male student this week for allegedly threatening to bomb and shoot students at his school. "But I guess they are the ones who actually put it on".

Students said they didn't believe the girls meant for the shirts to be offensive and that the words come from an epithet-laced song by Drake and Soulja Boy.

"I just got it through our emails", she said.

Valerie Cottongim, a representative from Stafford County Public Schools, told The Huffington Post that the photo was taken on Friday but the school wasn't aware of it until Tuesday when someone brought it to the school's attention on . The administration said it does not approve or condone the language implied in the photograph.

This is not the first incident where white students have participated in blatantly racist acts while at school. "The notification by concerned students and parents coupled with the immediate action by the Principal of Brooke Point High School to the School Resource Officer initiated a timely response and investigation that resulted in an arrest". "We want the public to be assured that along with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, we are working in the best interest and for the safety of all our students". This incident has been investigated and appropriate actions have been taken.

Stafford Schools Superintendent Dr. Bruce Benson asked that anyone who has shared the "insensitive" photo on social media to remove it.

The principal agreed with the parent, issuing a statement, in which he said he was sorry, and promised to work to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Mountain View High School's student body population in 2014 was 67 percent white, 10.2 percent African American, 11.6 percent Hispanic and the remaining percentage consisted of students from other ethnicities.
