Tesla Motors Inc.'s (NASDAQ: TSLA) long-awaited Model X cars are poised to roll out on the roads soon. Management said in Tesla's third-quarter shareholder letter it is expecting to deliver between 17,000 to 19,000 vehicles during the quarter. The letter went on to explain that the company had taken over production of the monopost seats - a job Tesla had initially outsourced - in order to address this bottleneck.

Those initial examples were the "Founders Series" versions - and now, the range-topping Signature Series Model Xs arriving to customers across the United States. A shift of even a week or two earlier or, later on, an exponential curve of the ramp-up in deliveries of Model X could hold back or propel deliveries, respectively, by significant amounts, management explained.

It is reported by Clean Technica that Tesla was slow in delivering Signature Series models due to hold ups with a few suppliers alongside the Californian firm's efforts to ensure there were no issues with the Founder Series models delivered in late September.
