Melissa Benoist's 'Supergirl' Soars in Ratings!

As Kara embraced her superhero status, she got captured the Department of Extranormal Operations, which Alex was a part of. The series has energy, it's charming, and Melissa Benoist's performance as Kara Jor-El (or Kara Danvers/Supergirl) is pure magic. The tone: Light, fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Raised by her human foster sister, Kara spent the next 12 years of her life concealing her impressive powers... but we saw on the premiere that she's now ready to make like her very famous other relative.

The show centers on Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian stranded on Earth following the destruction of her home planet Krypton. Kara doesn't age during her flight, but Superman is now all grown up. That means fetching coffee as an assistant to media mogul Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

David Harewood gives a solid and enjoyable performance as Hank Henshaw was solid; however, Hank's resentment towards Kara became very old very quickly throughout this first hour.

Supergirl is superhuman, at least in ratings. He's her cousin, but it's her story.

If you step away from the small-screen and look at the internet impact that Supergirl had, the numbers seem even more impressive. Although her confidence is low when she starts off, a new threat forces her to push her doubts aside in episode 2 titled Stronger Together. More of this please! Every week she keeps proving people wrong, that she's every bit the hero he is, every bit as powerful as he is. There would presumably be some of those alien villains".

Will we see our gorgeous nerdy superhero going on her first interview? Winn's in love with her, but Kara has a crush on new art director Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), who now goes by James.

After months and months of waiting, "Supergirl" is finally here and the October 26 premiere exceeded our expectations!
